'The Patriarch' is an enduring Iranian TV classic, produced and directed by Akbar Khajouee from 1993 to 1995.

The story revolves around Assdollah Khan, a middle-aged father who commands his family with an unwavering grip. No one dares to challenge his authority or voice their opinions. Even after their marriages and having their own families, his children remain under his watchful eye, all living together in one big household.

In the series, we are graced by the presence of veteran actors who have left us, but their roles will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts.

1Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz was a renowned Iranian cinema, theater, and television actor who died at the age of 90.

Keshavarz's exceptional acting prowess shone brilliantly in the lead role of Assdollah Khan in 'The Patriarch'.

His remarkable performance, alongside the ensemble of veteran actors, has immortalized the series as one of Iran's enduring dramas. 

He will always be remembered for his contributions to Iranian cinema, theater, and television, leaving behind a legacy of unforgettable characters and inspiring performances.

2Hamideh Kheirabadi, a legendary actress of Iranian cinema, left an indelible mark with her exceptional talent, appearing in 200 movies.

Her portrayal as Assdollah Khan's wife in 'The Patriarch' was truly brilliant, adding depth and authenticity to the character alongside the lead actor, Keshavarz.

Her artistic legacy continues through her daughter, Sorayya Qasemi, who followed in her footsteps as an actress.

Kheirabadi passed away at the age of 85 in Tehran.

3. Siamak Atlasi, renowned for his iconic role in 'The Patriarch,' passed away at 85 due to COVID-19.

With more than 40 movie appearances and roles in some 40 TV series, Atlasi left a lasting impact on Iranian cinema and television.

His portrayal of Mostafa in 'The Patriarch' brought him national fame, while his exceptional performance as Hossein ibn Nomair in 'Mukhtar Narrative' was equally celebrated.

4. Jamileh Sheykhi, hailing from a family with a deep love for culture and the arts, began her artistic journey in 1957.

Sheykhi's appearances in films like 'The Passengers' and TV series like 'The Patriarch' and 'Born Again' earned her prestigious Crystal Simorghs. Her untimely passing in 2001 left a void in the hearts of many.

5. Khosrow Shojazadeh, an Iranian actor in cinema and television, graduated in acting from the Drama and Dramatic Arts College.

His cinema career took off with roles in 'The Cow' and ‘The Stranger' while he appeared in various TV series, including 'The Patriarch’.

On March 14, 2017, he passed away at the age of 71 due to a brain stroke.

These legendary actors, who brought life to 'The Patriarch', will always be remembered for their remarkable contributions to Iranian cinema.
